Meet the Director

Olly Galvin is the company director and driving force behind Acumen Safety. With a long career in event stage and site management, Olly obtained his NEBOSH General Certificate in 2017 and transitioned into health and safety management.

Olly has served as a health and safety advisor for hundreds of events across the UK and the Middle East, gaining extensive experience in implementing practical safety standards across diverse environments.

In recent years, Olly has expanded into occupational health and safety, serving as the Competent Advisor for several nationally recognised companies. This shift inspired the launch of Acumen Safety.

Olly also holds an active position as an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and continues his work in festival and event safety through Galvin Events. He is a Technical Member of IOSH and an Associate Member of IIRSM, as well as an approved IOSH trainer.
