JBSafe Ltd is a Cambridge-based consultancy specialising in laboratory safety and biosafety. We support safe science within the startup and SME biotech community in Cambridge and remotely across the UK. Our goal is to help you achieve legal compliance and maintain robust health and safety management, allowing you to focus on your scientific endeavors.
Founder and Director Susan Chapple (PhD, FIIRSM, MISTR, CertIOSH) brings over 20 years of experience as a lab scientist in academia, clinical labs, and biotechnology companies in Oxford and Cambridge. She combines this expertise with extensive health and safety management skills to deliver practical, science-focused safety solutions.
For startups, we can assist in setting up health and safety management systems and offer support for their implementation. Our consultancy services are flexible and tailored to meet your specific needs, whether supporting existing safety officers or providing a more hands-on approach.
