The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) is the leading professional association representing the architectural ironmongery sector. As a not-for-profit organization, the GAI supports and represents architectural ironmongers, wholesalers, and manufacturers globally. Our mission is to advance architectural ironmongery through education, technical excellence, and professionalism. We collaborate with renowned trade bodies such as RIBA, CPA, CIAT, FIS, and DHI, working together to promote the highest standards in our industry to the wider construction sector and its clients. The GAI focuses on three pillars to achieve our goals. First is Education, offering an extensive range of courses leading to diploma qualifications and professional statuses, including RegAI, RegDS, RegAC, and CertSRA, which are recognized benchmarks of excellence in architectural ironmongery. Secondly, we assist in developing the technical standards that impact the industry, ensuring our members have the knowledge and support to apply these standards effectively. Lastly, our Community Hub network and program of events and awards bring people together, fostering a sense of community within the sector. With over 350 member companies across 30+ countries and representation in more than 30 standards committees and construction sector bodies, the GAI is at the forefront of shaping the architectural ironmongery industry.
