Who Needs a TM44 Inspection? Buildings with a combined cooling output of 12kW or more are required to have a TM44 Air Conditioning Inspection. This includes both large-scale single units and individual units that collectively meet or exceed the 12kW threshold.
When to Get a TM44 Inspection? A TM44 inspection should be carried out every five years by an independent, accredited assessor. The first inspection must be completed before the air conditioning system turns five years old.
What’s Included? The inspection involves a thorough visual assessment, examination, and detailed inspection of all refrigeration and air-moving equipment. It evaluates the system’s usage, servicing, and maintenance practices.
What’s the Purpose? The primary aim is to assess the energy efficiency of the air conditioning system and provide a report with recommendations for improvement, helping you save on energy costs and reduce your carbon footprint.
What Happens if You Don’t Comply? Non-compliance can result in financial penalties and could complicate property transactions.
