As a world-leading integrated health science and innovation system, Health Innovation Manchester brings together expertise from various sectors to discover, develop, and deploy new healthcare solutions at a rapid pace and on a large scale. Formed in 2017, Health Innovation Manchester consolidated the Greater Manchester academic health science network and the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre, uniting them under a single umbrella. In 2019, the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Greater Manchester also joined the organization, contributing pivotal research into innovative approaches for promoting health, delivering care, and ensuring the sustainability of the healthcare system. Health Innovation Manchester collaborates with digital and industry experts, academia, and innovators to address major challenges and tackle inequalities. Their mission is to become an internationally recognized leader in accelerating innovation for the betterment of the health and wellbeing of citizens.
